By profession I am a Graphic Designer, and have worked with a variety of companies and small busi- nesses to produce illustration, advertising and promotion as well as branding and identity for them. I have also helped to curate and organise exhibi- tions and have been selected to be a part of several London Graphics shows to exhibit work.
I have just finished a Masters degree in Graphic Design at the London College of Communication just to further my knowledge of the area. As this is my passion I am seeking opportunities within the creative industry, to work alongside other like- minded people and hopefully enable me to play a successful influential role within it.
Ultimately, I feel I am conceptually motivated; to investigate and communicate is what I have energy for. When conceiving ideas I enjoy challenging ideologies by making others see something they had not already considered as part of a concept or by altering how they will envisage it to develop. This enables me to have a better understanding of the topic in hand and expand upon the knowledge behind an idea and ways in which to execute it, just by viewing it from all perspectives.
When I work I aim to not give myself comfort zones, I always aim to push an idea to its full, which in turn allows me the chance to explore the idea through an unexpected route. I have found this to really benefit my way of learning, as to push an idea and test it, is far more challenging and sometimes time consuming but does make you appreciate the lengths you have gone to, to stand alone from others. I embrace vividly techni- colour creations, utlising pattern work and found images by combining them to produce a nostalgic sense of meaning and empathy towards my design outcomes.
